About Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Test (JNVST)

The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) is conducted by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) for admission into Class 6 and Class 9 of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. These are fully residential, co-educational schools funded by the Government of India. Education, boarding, food, uniform, and textbooks are all provided free of charge.

The Class 6 exam is the most popular entry point and tests students on Mental Ability, Arithmetic, and Language skills. The Class 9 lateral entry exam covers English, Hindi, Maths, and Science.

About All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE)

The All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into Class 6 and Class 9 of Sainik Schools across India. Sainik Schools prepare students for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other defence services. These schools offer disciplined residential education with a strong focus on academics, physical fitness, and character building.

Preparation Tips from Our Faculty at Shree Ji Study Center

• Start with the syllabus. Both JNVST and AISSEE have a defined syllabus. Study only what is in scope and avoid getting distracted by extra material.
• Practice Mental Ability daily. This section cannot be crammed. It improves only with daily practice over several months.
• Solve previous year papers. The last 5 to 7 years of question papers give a clear picture of what to expect. We provide these to all our students.
• Focus on accuracy, not just speed. Both exams are multiple choice, but wrong answers can affect rank. Train yourself to attempt only what you are confident about.
• Keep a regular study schedule. These are Class 6 and Class 9 level exams, but they are competitive. Two to three hours of focused study daily is more effective than long unplanned sessions.
• Take full-length mock tests. Do not only practice subject-wise. Take complete mock tests at least once a week to build exam-day stamina and time management.
